Tesco Store Basildon , Essex
At the Tesco Store, Basildon project the particular requirement was to provide a durable screen at the perimeter of the mezzanine floor that would permit works to continue to the mezzanine whilst minimising any effect on the trading area below. Particular constraints were that works to the edge of the mezzanine should be able to be completed whilst the screen was in place, all support framework should be masked and temporary edge protection and perimeter working platform maintained.
Due to the versatility of shrink-wrap systems, there is a wide range of applications suitable for its use.Shrink-wrap can offer a considerable advantage where environmental issues are concerned, superior levels of containment can be achieved which is particularly desirable during the removal of harmful substances or other works which may impact the adjacent environment.Enhanced containment can also reduce the end of the job clean up time and also allow adjacent operations to continue without interference.
Priestman Point East London
Priestman Point is an existing 26 storey 1960’s built block of flats in east London, the building is undergoing extensive internal and external refurbishment including substantial concrete repairs, window replacement and external cladding, in addition, a single storey community centre is to be built at ground level.
We have designed and erected an independent scaffold structure to fully envelope the building and provide access to all external elevations at floor levels together with cladding the entire structure with debris netting. In addition to working within the constraints of a very restricted site area the main contractors requirement for construction of the ground level community centre to proceed whilst works to the main block where underway proved particularly challenging. Our solution to this requirement was to design and erect a cantilever arrangement fixed to two elevations of the existing building at second floor level allowing construction to proceed below.
Twyford Station
Our remit at the Twyford Station project was to provide public access from platform to platform during the refurbishment of the existing footbridge and whilst the station remained in operation, i.e. the provision of a replacement footbridge. In solution we designed and constructed a structure to cross four rail lines and a roadway, this was achieved in 3 spans and we provided an almost turnkey service to our customer, in fact it was only the electrical work in connection with the temporary lighting that was carried out by others. The installation of the temporary footbridge took place during out of hours possession and was carried
